Karen Y. Crazy Quilt Afghan
Fiber: 2/2 cotton warp; all acrylic wefts. Structure/Sett: Plain Weave, 5 epi
Afghan was a pandemic gift to us. I couldn’t concentrate on more complicated weave structures, and I wanted to use up the leftovers from several afghans I had made and gifted in the past ten years. I also tried to follow an analogous color scheme, beginning with what colors I had the most of, in the violet, blues, a little greens, and then threw in a red/orange in the middle. I find a definite center is most helpful in folding up an afghan, hence a cream middle stripe between two dark colors.
I am happy with the crazy quilt afghan, because it helped me get through a pretty anxious time, and made something useful with leftovers.
